notes from studio discussion with TOM BRACCIANO; 9/10/2007

Tom Bracciano, facilities maintenance: Studio Discussion 9/10/2007 -education should drive facilities, but in reality it's the other way around -portables less than desireable because: 1. high energy consumption: mostly electric (few use gas), free-standing sctuctures; some are metered separately $1.20/ sq. ft. for portable vs. $0.85/ sq. ft. for school building 2. delivery, assembly, removal costs: $1,000/ mo. lease on double wide portable (26' x 68'; w/ or w/o restrooms), $5,000 for delivery and anchorage, $5,000-6,000 for construction of required ramp system, $8,000 to remove from site
